Rolla Sims Taylor (1872-1970). Originally from Galveston, began painting at age 14; Grew up in Cuero, TX, moved to San Antonio 1889, Graduated from Cuero Institute, influenced by his friend Julian Onderdonk. Well-known for town-landscape paintings; an attorney and Bexar County District Clerk; popularity skyrocketed in last 7 years.
