John Eliot Jenkins (1868-1937). Born in Kansas, he moved to Paris and studied at the Julian & Colorosi Academies from 1888 to 1892 where he studied under Jules-Joseph Lefebvre, Jean-Joseph Benjamin Constant and Claude Monet. He moved to Austin, TX around 1908 and painted in Arkansas, Amarillo & Houston, TX.
