David Swantner. Raised on the Gulf Coast in South Texas, Swantner began drawing at age 4. He attended Rice University & worked with pen & ink, charcoal & graphite. He was self-taught until he met Dalhart & Michael Windberg & 5 yrs of intensely studying the master’s painting principles gave him the studio training to accomplish works of art. His studio is in Austin, TX.
