Gantner. Born in Seoul, South Korea, he was instantly attracted to color & form as a child & is a self-taught artist. He has resolved the age-old Poussiniste-Rubeniste conflict by combining the strengths & qualities of line with color. His paintings exhibit a controlled application of color structured within a strong linear composition. The majority of his paintings are set in Provence or Midi and feature quaint mountain villages with winding, narrow streets.
