Description
Chester Snowden (1900-1984). Born in Elgin, TX, attended UT Austin, the Cooper Union in N.Y., Art Students League of N.Y., Grand Central Galleries Art School & the Richard Art School in L.A. His teachers included Harry Sternberg, Boardman Robinson & Walter Jack Duncan. He worked as a painter & illustrator, providing art for publications of Royal Dixon & showed in many Annual Exhibitions throughout Texas. He also exhibited at the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. and his work can be found in the collection of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.
